All the groups and activities that currently use the building continue as they have done so far. It can still be booked for parties and other activities.

The Thundersley Methodist Church is no longer used for Christian Worship. After 101 years the number of members has become too small to continue.

However, due to a generous legacy from Kathy Burrell, a former member of the church, the building is staying open as a Wellbeing Centre.

If you visit us occasionally on a Sunday, we are sorry to let you down but you will be warmly welcomed in the Methodist Churches in Benfleet or Hadleigh, or other churches close by. To find the details of the local Methodist Churches please go to the Southend & Leigh Circuit Website

The Burrell Wellbeing Centre is owned by the Methodist Church. It is part of the Southend and Leigh Circuit.

It is operating on the site of the former Thundersley Methodist Church.
